Flash Game - Dethroning the King

Cameron bounces the purple gym ball twice, and glances left to right at his opponents. They are playing in a parking lot, behind a large brick building that's one story tall, except for on the hill it spans onto where it grows into two stories. He picks out where he'd like to place it, so he bounces a third time. At the top of its bounce Cameron smacks it down into the opposite square with full force--

Kellan swings his arm and catches the ball with a fist. The ball deflects into Robbie's square. Robbie uses two hands to push the ball into Leigh's square. Leigh taps it into Cameron's.

Cameron slams it down into Kellan's square to get it to fly high above his eight-foot reach, and succeeds. Kellan backs up out of the square, and runs into a parked truck. The ball comes down on the windshield of the truck, and Kellan is out. "Fuck."

Robbie takes his square, "See ya!" Kellan throws the ball into Robbie's chest, but Robbie catches it. He bounces it back to Cameron. Kellan goes to the back of the line, and at the front, Iris, gets into the square that Robbie had occupied. Cameron prepares to serve it again.

In order from front to back, Connor, Ian, Ryan, Aria, Big Rob, and Pierce stand in the line in front of Kellan. It is because he's at the back of the line that he's closest to Cameron's square, so he seizes the opportunity to taunt him. "Don't mess up... I wouldn't want to miss at a moment like this... I wouldn't want to pick on one of the girls because then the guys will team up on you…" Cameron bounces the ball, fazing him out as he searches for the place to serve.

Cameron serves to Leigh, who hits it towards Robbie's foot. Robbie tries to bounce it back with his foot, but it lands in his own square. "Oh, thanks Leigh."

"Sorry, Robbie." Leigh remarks with a smile. She waves to Iris who occupies Robbie's square.

"You're supposed to get Cameron out." Robbie sulks past her and gets into the back of the line. Kellan eyes him, "What are you looking at?"

Cameron motions for the two of them to take a step back, and they do. He looks at Connor, who has crouched low into a position ready for anything that will come his way. Cameron serves it to him with backspin. Connor lunges for it and misses. Ian takes his place as he runs down the hill after the ball.

"Ian, who's watching the Emma?" Leigh has just noticed he's there.

"Rose and Logan are babysitting a couple of people's dolls for only 5 bucks." Ian smirks.

"Some parent you are. I actually spent time with the her."

"Hello, she's doll. I'd do better with a real kid-- Duh." Ian catches Connor's throw and bounces the ball to Cameron.

"Leigh, focus." Iris motions Leigh to watch Cameron. "Don't let him get you out."

"Yeah."

Cameron serves to Ian, and he hits it to Leigh… and she volleys it to Iris. Iris hits it to Cameron who slams it through her square with great speed. Iris jumps up in disappointment and swears. She runs after the ball, and Ian takes her place. Ryan steps into the peasant square, and Cameron points to him.

"I'm getting you out." Iris tosses the ball to him and he serves it to Ryan. Ryan hits it back to Cameron who slams it back into his square, so Ryan diverts it to Ian.

Ian catches it in the air, "Grenade!" He hurls it at Cameron, who lets his feet slip, his legs spread, and his butt fall to the ground as he dodges the ball. Ian swears, and goes to the end of the line.

Cameron eyes Ryan who's now in the next square. He serves the ball with spin to Ryan, and he knocks it to Aria, she knocks it to Leigh, and Leigh hits into a corner on Ryan's square-- And Ryan hits it back into Leigh's square with enough speed for her to miss it.

Iris calls from line, "Leigh, don't worry about it." Ryan takes her square, Aria his, and Big Rob gets in the game. Big Rob has that name for one reason, and that's because he's a big boy. He has a large presence in his square, and so it makes him a formidable opponent.

Cameron sighs as he lazily serves the ball to Aria, who hits the ball up towards Ryan's square. Cameron has moved up close to the line between his square and Ryan's, and Ryan stretches to hit the ball mid-flight into Big Rob's square. It bounces once and Rob hits into to Aria's square, but she's hanging back so it passes through her square. Ryan runs out and hits the ball back towards Aria before it bounces again, and keeps the ball in play. Aria hits the pop up into Ryan's square, where it bounces once, Cameron takes a position at the corner next to the out line between Ryan and his square, and Ryan hurries back to hit the ball in Cameron's direction because it's in front of him, where Cameron hops slightly and makes a fluid motion with his arm to spike the ball through Ryan's vacant square. The spectators in the line "ooh," and "ah," during the rapid exchange, but sigh with Cameron's victory.

Pierce steps in and Kellan is at the front of the line, "I'm coming for you, Sardelli." Cameron lazily bounces the ball. "Next game you're mine."

Cameron serves to Big Rob, who backhands it to Pierce. Pierce spikes into Cameron's square… And he lops it towards Aria to keep it in play--

"Black Magic!" Aria caught the ball in flight. Cameron's out, and the kingship has been passed to the queen. Aria takes her place on the throne, and Cameron gets into the back of the line.

Kellan sullenly steps into the peasant square. "I would have gotten you out."

"We'll see when I'm king again." Cameron says slyly. "That won't be long."

Aria serves the ball on an unsuspecting Kellan--
